The best dual-SIM Android phones you can buy

Dual-SIM phones have always been popular in global markets, and they're now starting to catch on in the U.S. A dual-SIM phone offers more flexibility in that you can use two different numbers on the same device, making it a great choice for those who travel a lot. You can effectively use your primary SIM and pick up a local SIM to use on the same device, negating the need to carry two phones.

Fast has a new name

The Nokia name is synonymous with great budget phones in the U.S., and the Nokia 4.2 furthers that belief. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 439 chipset and has a tiny waterdrop cutout at the front. It has a dedicated button for Google Assistant, and the power button has an LED ring that lights up for incoming notifications and calls. True powerhouse

Samsung Galaxy S20

The Galaxy S20 that's sold in the U.S. has a single SIM card slot, but you can pick up the international model with a dual SIM card slot on Amazon. The S20 has a gorgeous new design with a pin-hole cutout and 120Hz AMOLED display, and you get all the extras: IP68 water resistance, wireless charging, 25W wired charging. Combine that with one of the best cameras around and you get a great overall package.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+

The Galaxy Note 10+ features a stunning new design and an even thinner cutout at the front. There's 45W wired charging, and the internal hardware is some of the best you'll find with a phone. Best of all, the S Pen stylus continues to help set Samsung devices apart, and it now has air gestures. Like the S10+, you'll have to pick up the global Note 10+ to get dual-SIM connectivity.

Zoom in

Huawei P30 Pro

The P30 Pro is one of the best phones I've used this year. The hardware is gorgeous, the OLED screen is fantastic, and you get a usable 50x zoom lens in a tiny package. The phone absolutely nails the basics, and when you factor in the outstanding camera and the 40W wired charging combined with excellent battery life, it's one of the best all-round devices available today.

Xiaomi Mi 9T

Xiaomi has always offered great value, and the Mi 9T is no different. The phone is packing the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, it's running the Snapdragon 855, a stunning AMOLED display, and it has a retractable camera that leads to an all-screen front. It manages to do all this while costing half as much as other flagships.

Excellent value

POCO F1

The POCO F1 took the smartphone industry by storm last year for its value. The device features a Snapdragon 845 with liquid cooling, a 4000mAh battery, and an FHD+ 6.1-inch display. You're not really missing out on much from devices that cost twice as much, and the value on offer still makes the POCO F1 a great option. Like all Xiaomi phones, you get a dual SIM card slot with dual VoLTE.

There's something for everyone here

There isn't any shortage of great options if you're looking for a phone with dual-SIM card slots. The OnePlus 7T in particular stands out for the hardware on offer coupled with the clean software experience with OxygenOS. There's a lot to like in the OnePlus 7T, but the main highlight is the 90Hz AMOLED display, which is absolutely stunning. The 90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling silky smooth, and you're not going to see any lag in day-to-day usage.

That's because of the Snapdragon 855+ chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The OnePlus 7T is also rocking the latest UFS 3.0 storage, which offers significantly more bandwidth than UFS 2.1. Basically, this is about as future-proof as phones get right now. There's also a 48MP camera at the back joined by a wide-angle lens and a zoom module, and you get 30W fast charging as well.

If you're looking for something more budget-friendly, the Nokia 4.2 is an excellent choice. HMD has made its name in the budget segment, and the Nokia 4.2 is officially available in the U.S. and is one of the best devices you'll find in this price range.
